The CyberTech division is one of the fastest growing areas within the Fin-Tech industry. Data from a study by the research company FinTech Global show that investments in this segment have increased 14-fold since 2014. In the past year, this sector even generated 3.4 million dollars.
This major boost is due to the fact that financial services companies are increasingly switching to digital solutions and expanding their security budgets. According to a study by the British government, financial and insurance companies have increased their spending on cyber security by 23% in 2019 compared to the previous year.
In light of the tremendous growth in this sector, the CyberTech100 was created to identify the 100 innovative companies that every financial services company should know when reviewing and developing its strategies to combat information security and financial crime.
The outstanding companies were selected by a panel of industry experts and analysts. For this purpose, more than 1,000 CyberTech companies were reviewed and evaluated as part of a study by FinTech Global. The solution providers that made it to the final list were recognized for their innovative use of technology to solve a key industry problem or to achieve cost savings or efficiency improvements throughout the security value chain.
In 2020, this list also includes DRACOON, the German-speaking market leader for enterprise file services.
FinTech Global Director Richard Sachar says: "Established financial institutions need to be aware of the latest security technology on the market to protect their organizations from data leaks and cyber attacks. The CyberTech100 list will help management to screen all vendors in the market by highlighting the leaders in sectors such as threat management, data governance, cloud security, employee risk and fraud prevention," he added.
