DRACOON GmbH, a leading provider of enterprise file services, successfully concluded another round of financing last week. The Austrian investment company Round2 Capital is joining as a new investor, as is the German company Experium. Investments are also being made from within the existing group of shareholders by High-Tech Gründerfonds, WENVEST Capital, AVG Vermögensverwaltung, die Bayerische Beteiligungsgesellschaft (BayBG), P+W Media, and parts of the management of DRACOON.
In total, the investors are jointly investing around 5 million euros in the technology company. DRACOON was assisted with the transaction in the area of fundraising by the investment bank Carlsquare and with legal matters by the commercial law firm Wirtschaftskanzlei LUTZ | ABEL.
The Regensburg-based company plans to use the new funds raised to further expand its technological platform and expedite growth on the basis of market penetration in its focus industries.

In addition, Dr. Björn Momsen, Chief Financial Officer of DRACOON, sees Round2 Capital being a long-term partner: “We are delighted to have Round2 Capital on board as an investor that not only has an excellent network covering the sectors of relevance to us, but also has the corresponding technological expertise. As both equity and revenue-based loans can be provided here, we now already have a financing partner at our side for subsequent company stages.”
